Marketplace safety
Pause, verify, then proceed
Most local transactions begin with a simple question, but a safe decision needs more than a phone number and a price. Use the public listing, storefront and conversation together. If important details conflict, stop and resolve the difference before paying, travelling or sharing personal information.
Check the listing and seller
- Read the full description, condition, price, availability and location.
- Open the seller storefront and compare the business name, contact details and other listings.
- Ask for a current image or video when the exact condition matters.
- Be cautious when a price is unusually low or the seller creates unnecessary urgency.
- Do not assume a Storegidi page is a guarantee, warranty or endorsement of the transaction.
Protect accounts and personal information
A seller does not need your Storegidi password, email password, card PIN, bank login, one-time code or account recovery link. Do not share these details in chat, by phone or through a form sent by another person. Storegidi support will not ask you to move a conversation to prove your identity by revealing a password or payment code.
Share only the delivery or service information necessary for the transaction. When arranging collection, prefer a safe public place and avoid publishing a private home address in an open listing or review.
Before you pay
- Confirm the exact item or service, total price, condition, availability and fulfilment terms.
- Check that the recipient name and payment purpose make sense for the seller.
- Use a payment method that creates a clear record and review every detail before authorising it.
- Keep the listing link, conversation and receipt until the transaction is fully complete.
- For staged services, connect payments to written milestones you can inspect.
Meeting, delivery and collection
Meet in a safe public place when practical, tell someone where you are going and take another person for a high-value exchange. Inspect the exact product, serial number and included accessories before completing an in-person payment. When using a rider, agree who is responsible for the delivery fee, damage and failed delivery before dispatch.
Do not allow pressure from a waiting rider or changing story to replace verification. A genuine timing problem can be discussed; an unexplained demand for immediate payment is a reason to pause.
Booking a service
Agree on the scope, provider, date, location, materials, price and completion standard in writing. Ask who will enter the premises and what access they need. For remote work, agree on the delivery format and protect sensitive files. Our service booking checklist covers these questions in more detail.
Seller responsibilities
- Publish current, truthful information and use a real business identity.
- Explain changes to price, availability or fulfilment before accepting payment.
- Do not request sensitive credentials or misrepresent Storegidi as a payment guarantor.
- Keep customer communication professional and preserve useful transaction records.
Report concerns
Use Storegidi reporting controls when a listing, review, storefront or conversation appears misleading, abusive or unsafe. Include the relevant listing and a factual explanation. For an urgent threat, suspected theft or financial fraud, contact the appropriate local authority or financial institution rather than waiting for marketplace moderation.
